WIBCC Board Member and LI2Day Rest Stop Chairperson, Maria Prendiamano and her two daughters, Desiree and Renee, came up with a Caribbean theme for our first LI2Day Walk Rest Stop On Sunday, June 5th. Thanks to their hard work, community sponsors, and our many volunteers, WIBCC was voted "Best Rest Stop" of the day by the Walkers on Sunday, June 5th.

Our Rest Stop had Caribbean Music donated by DJ Ribert Ditta of Above and Beyond Disk Jockeys and tropical balloon displays donated by Sandy Morelli of Small Indulgences. Polaroid Pictures of all walkers were possible thanks to Peter Jerome and Irwin Sineband of Sindrome Construction. Desiree Fumento designed our Logo Banner: "Breast Cancer - We won't take it LEI-ING Down." Three hundred pink flowered leis were given to walkers and survivors. Maria, Renee and Desiree added numerous additional tropical touches which made the Rest Stop a great place for the walkers to conclude their 2 day walk. Thank you to everyone who assisted the WIBCC in their first LI2Day Walk and their first Rest Stop.
