“10th Anniversary Gala” was a great success. We reflected on where
we were ten years ago. We were all surprised by the synergy of coming
together to create something greater than anyone of us could accomplish
alone. From the many paths we took, we were moving mountains and
making miracles . . . we were simply being ourselves. Breast Cancer
was taking on a new shape and being reworked in large and small
communities, not only on Long Island, but throughout the Nation.
Never again would we whisper "breast cancer" behind closed
doors. Never again would Breast Cancer be a woman's secret. Our
mission was set and there was no stopping us. We can look back with
pride on what we have accomplished while we continue to press ahead
towards the ultimate goal . . . the eradication of Breast Cancer.
Thank you to our journal participants and local merchants for their
very generous donations.
Thank
you also to the Members of our Board for their energy and commitment
to our Mission while delivering a special praise to all our volunteers
who accept every task with a "can do" spirit. Be sure
to check out our "GALA" photo gallery on pages 4 and 5.
Our Dinner was dedicated to the memory of those heroines who marched
with us in the beginning knowing that they were losing their personal
battles to Breast Cancer. That spirit remains and it will continue
to inspire us.

Regnante, President
