day in May to promote Breast Cancer Aw a r e n e s s
and the U.S. Breast Cancer Postage Stamp. Good
Samari tan Hospital and the West Islip Breast Cancer
Coal i t ion for Long Island Inc. set up an information

Fredi O’Connor . To date, the stamp has raised more
than $37 mi l l ion for breast cancer research. By law,
70% of the net amount raised is given to the Nat ional
Inst i tutes of Heal th and 30 per is given to the Medical
Research Program at the Depar tment of Defense.
