The Pink Flags October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This is the start of WIBCC's Pink Flags of October Celebration, which kicks off October 6, 2019, at 12 noon, in a NEW location, The Cancer Institute of Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, 111 Beach Drive, West Islip, NY 11795. SHOW LOVE & DEVOTION FOR THE SPECIAL PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE! Help the West Islip Breast Cancer Coalition support October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month by participating in an extraordinary event! This is your opportunity to celebrate “in honor of” or “in memory of” your family and friends whose lives have been affected by Breast Cancer. Hundreds of PINK FLAGS will be placed at the entrance of Good Samaritan Hospital and the new Cancer Institute waving for the entire month of October. Beginning this month-long event on Sunday, October 6 at 12pm, there will be a ceremony, a performance by West Islip High School Vocal Motion, and light refreshments. All flags and ribbons will fly for the entire month. Together we will honor and remember those affected by breast cancer. Remember we will be holding the ceremony at the new Cancer Institute located on the site of Our Lady of Consolation, just south of the Emergency Room.
